Obituary of Bernard Alexander Vukosa

Bernard (Ben) Vukosa, 65, passed away on April 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his children Neil (Yvonne), Leigh (Elena), and Breanne (Tom), beloved granddaughter Krystianna, and brothers Joe, Terry, Paul and Mike.

Ben lived a life defined by his passions and his commitment to those he loved. An avid music enthusiast, he found solace and inspiration in the melodies that filled his home and heart. Whether playing his guitar or listening to his records, Ben's love for music was infectious, and he shared that passion with everyone he met.

Ben was an adventurous soul who found freedom on his motorcycle, searching out scenic rides, cruising through town, and most often choosing a motorcycle ride to work over the comfort of his car. Beyond his motorcycle, Ben loved to explore, whether it was a good hike with his family, or the decision to hitchhike to BC as a young man, Ben was always ready to find a new path, see new sights, and embrace new experiences.

But above all, Ben was a devoted father and grandfather who found his greatest fulfilment in the love and bond he shared with his family. His guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support shaped the lives of Neil, Leigh, and Breanne, instilling in them values of compassion, integrity, and resilience that will endure for generations to come.

Ben's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the memories of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered for his unwavering love.

A celebration of Ben’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
