A very, VERY, special great uncle to Alycia (Jack, Kaylee, Rylee) Masse, Ryan & Katie McLarty, Jon (Jenny) McLarty, Paul (Jane) McLarty, and Krysta (Emma) McLarty.

Very special friend of Joan & Bill Miniotas.

Predeceased by his father Ron (1953), his mother Georgina (1986), his father and mother-in-law Grenville (1987) & Helen (2000).

Tom was born on November 25, 1934, and lived his whole life in London. He worked for Bell Canada for 34 years where his “off beat” humorous attitude toward life in general made his co-workers and friends alike gather around him for the laughter, he could make you feel just being near. He worked in Goose Bay, Labrador where he got an appreciation for the cold North and stayed for 18 months. This was also where he met, and gained lifelong friendships with, Harry, and Winston and their wives. There were not too many people Tom met that didn’t become his friend. In 1971 he met Linda Brown and soon after mentioned to all that he got tired of running, so he said “yes, I’ll marry you! A man can only run for so long!”

Linda always said it was his speaking voice as well as his dancing and singing as he played his guitar that first attracted her. Their marriage has stood the test of time and has lasted 52 years and 4 months: with lots of love, laughter, and joy.

As per Tom’s wishes, a private family service will take place at a later date with inurnment in Woodland Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
